Scholarship Information

Cadets become eligible for scholarships after successfully completing the DoDMERB medical exam, earning a minimum term GPA of 2.5 and a cumulative GPA of 3.0, passing the official Air Force Physical Fitness Assessment, and maintaining good standing with both the detachment and the university.

High school students may also qualify for the highly competitive High School Scholarship Program (HSSP), which offers three types of scholarships to outstanding applicants. Check out the HSSP site for more details.

Already serving in the enlisted ranks? There are several pathways available to help you earn your commission and become an officer! Check out the enlisted to commissioning scholarships available.

There are additional scholarship opportunities available for students who join Air Force ROTC while already enrolled in college. For more information, feel free to reach out through our contact page.

The University of Tennessee now offers in-state tuition to all Air Force ROTC cadets, regardless of their state of residence.

While a scholarship is not required to participate in the program, Air Force ROTC can significantly reduce or even eliminate your financial burden. Learn more about scholarship opportunities by visiting the AFROTC website.
